Phillipsburg is a small industrial city on the Delaware River where working class traditions, school bands, and church music have long provided the soundtrack. Its location across from Easton, Pennsylvania, means musicians from the Lehigh Valley frequently cross the river for jams and small gigs.

Music turns up at American Legion halls, church fellowship rooms, school auditoriums, and a handful of local bars. There are no dedicated concert halls, so most significant performances happen in nearby Easton or Bethlehem.

Local and regional artists perform here, with musicians from the nearby Allentown and Bethlehem scene occasionally passing through.
