Aurora is a farming community in Nebraska, where music has long been part of school life, church services, and community celebrations. Bands, choirs, country groups at the local bar, and county fair talent shows form the local sound. Grand Island and Lincoln musicians sometimes pass through.

Concerts and gatherings happen in the high school auditorium, church fellowship halls, the American Legion hall, local bars and restaurants, and the county fairgrounds. There is no dedicated music venue, so residents make use of these shared spaces.

Local and regional artists perform here, with musicians from the nearby Grand Island and Lincoln scene occasionally passing through.

New musicians should join the school music program, ask about community band or choir, perform at the county fair talent show, and travel to Grand Island or Lincoln to find more frequent gigs.
