Caribou is a small city in northern Maine where music reflects agricultural roots and long winters. School bands, church choirs, community band concerts, and local acoustic acts form the core of musical life. Presque Isle provides additional outlets, and Bangor musicians occasionally travel north.

Music happens at the high school auditorium, community center, church fellowship halls, American Legion hall, and local bars. Winter events move indoors to school gyms and community rooms. There are no dedicated concert venues in Caribou.

Local and regional artists perform here, with musicians from the nearby Presque Isle and Bangor scene occasionally passing through.

Artists should join the community band, check the community center schedule, and ask local bars about acoustic nights. Traveling to Presque Isle or Bangor is necessary for a fuller gig calendar.
