Edgemere is a Chesapeake Bay peninsula community east of Baltimore, largely residential with a working waterfront legacy. Local music centers on church choirs, school bands, and community gatherings. Baltimore musicians sometimes travel east for private parties and small events.

Gigs appear at church fellowship halls, the high school auditorium, a community center, local American Legion posts, and a few bars and restaurants. No major venue exists in Edgemere.

Local and regional artists perform here, with musicians from the nearby Baltimore scene occasionally passing through.

New players can connect with school music directors, check church bulletin boards, or ask waterfront restaurants about acoustic sets. Regular work generally requires driving toward Baltimore.
