Arkadelphia is a college town along the Ouachita River where Ouachita Baptist University and Henderson State University shape much of the musical activity. Student recitals, church choirs, and small-town country and blues acts fill the calendar.

Music happens at university chapels, the high school auditorium, church fellowship halls, and local bars and restaurants. The county fairgrounds also host occasional outdoor performances.

Local and regional artists perform here, with musicians from the nearby Hot Springs scene occasionally passing through.
